Deep US involvement

A new report has shed light on the deep involvement of the US in the war on Yemen. According to the New York Times report, the US dispatched dozens of its commandos to Saudi Arabia to help the kingdom in its aggression on Yemen. The commandos with US Army Special Forces were sent to Saudi Arabia’s southern border regions in 2017. The troopers, known as the Green Berets, are tasked with assisting Saudi forces in locating and destroying Yemeni missile launch sites.

Rising tensions in East Asia

Tensions appear to be rising again in East Asia over what the United States has described as the militarization of the South China Sea. Reports say Beijing has installed missiles on artificial islands it has built in the region. The move has now provoked the White House to warn of unspecified consequences. Officials in Washington say the issue has been raised with China, but Beijing has failed to confirm whether it has or has not installed the missiles.
