Thousands attend annual 'March for Life' against abortion in Peru.

Thousands of Peruvians took to the streets of Lima on Saturday, May 5, to say no to abortion.

The march was led by representatives of Catholic and Evangelist churches, congressmen and other activists who do not agree with the legalization of abortion. This is the fifth consecutive year that this march takes place in Peru under the motto 'I love life.'

In 2015, lawmakers in Peru rejected a bill which allowed abortions for pregnant rape victims.The Latin American nation kept in place a law which permits abortion only if the mother’s life or health is at risk.
