Turkey: At least 6 injured, cars and roads destroyed as flash floods hit Ankara

Flash flooding in the Mamak district in Ankara

Heavy floods caused by rainfall damaged cars and roads in the Mamak district of Ankara with at least six people reported as slightly injured, on Saturday.

Roads were seen partly destroyed, with damaged vehicles, some covered in mud, deserted along the streets. The first floors of dozens of homes were also affected.

Excavators and emergency services arrived at the site to help clean-up the streets. According to reports, other districts of the Turkish capital were not affected by the flooding.
