Six artificially-bred Chinese alligators, or Yangtze alligators, will be released to their natural habitat after their dormancy in the Yangtze Alligator Reserve in Xuancheng City of east China's Anhui Province.

The Yangtze alligator is one of the most endangered species among the 23 alligator species in the world. They can only be found in China. Currently there are only 150 wild Yangtze alligators living in Anhui Province.
