World's highest voltage transmission project completed in China

World's highest voltage transmission project completed on sunday, April 15, in China.

The world's first 1100-kv UHVDC (ultra high voltage direct current) transmission line was completed on sunday, April 15, as the last large-span towers was completed over the Yangtze River in east China's Anhui Province.

The transmission line starts from the Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and ends in the town of Guquan, Wuhu City in east China's Anhui, passing through six provinces and an autonomous region, totaling 3304.7 meters and having a transmission capacity of 12 million kw.

This is a UHVDC power transmission project with the highest voltage, biggest transmission capacity, the longest transmission distance and the most advanced in technology in the world.
