Spain: Police officer risks life to save migrant drowning in Mediterranean

A police officer from the Spanish Civil Guard has dived into the waters off Ceuta's Mediterranean coast to save a drowning female migrant.

The officer risked his life as the woman was being dragged out to sea by strong currents.

The incident occurred on Wednesday in the area of Benzu, close to the Spanish exclave of Ceuta in Morocco, where a boat carrying migrants capsized in the water before rescuers arrived.
