Cherry blossom in Yunnan attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists

Cherry blossom in a county of southwest China's Guizhou Province has attracted hundreds of thousands of tourists, giving a shot in the arm of the local economy.

Cherry is in full bloom in the Gui'an new area. Against the green mountains and blue water, it presents a scroll painting of the spring scene in the locality. It was estimated that since March 9, the cherry blossom in Gui'an has attracted more than 200,000 tourists from in and outside the province, giving an effective boost to the local economy.

The local government has put up platforms specially for viewing the flowers and held a flower festival to attract visitors. At the same time, the influx of tourists have boosted the income of agritainment families.

The village has committed to developing the tourism economy, which has stimulated the development of the local agrileisure and agritourism. The village receives at least 30,000 tourists in March every year.
