Strongman tows 10,500 tonne ship to commemorate Crimean unification

Champion of the Far East in powerlifting Ivan Savkin reportedly broke a record by towing a ship weighing over 10,000 tonnes, with the strength of his own body, in Vladivostok.

The ship, the 'Sergei Gavrilov', weighs 10,500-tonnes, and Savkin reportedly pulled it a distance of 2 meters (79 inches).

Savkin has previously flexed his muscles to pull an airbus, a passenger ferry, an electric train, a diesel locomotive, an air defence missile system and a variety of tanks, in the past. The previous record was reportedly broken in Canada with a 10,300-tonne ship.
