An analyst says US President Donald Trump’s repeated threats to abdicate US responsibilities under the Iran nuclear deal raises serious questions about US reliability.
Trump’s stance on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) “raises question about the reliability of the United States in negotiations with other nations, such as North Korea,” James Fetzer told Press TV on Saturday.
“Why would [North Korean leader] Kim [Jung-un] have any reason to believe in Trump if Trump is willing to undermine the Iran deal?” he asked.
On Friday, signatories to the Iran deal held a new round of periodic meetings to review its implementation amid US threats to unilaterally withdraw.
