African Leaders oppose reduction of Somalia peacekeepers

African leaders have called on the UN Security Council to stay any further reduction of African Union peacekeepers in Somalia. The leaders made the call at a summit held in Uganda to assess the Somali Mission ahead of the Security Council’s proposed drawdown of peacekeepers from Mogadishu.
