NHS deadly prescriptions

The findings of a study commissioned by the UK government have shocked many commentators: There are more than 230 million errors in administering medication in the NHS each year. The research has been commissioned by the Department of Health and Social Care and carried out by university academics in Manchester, Sheffield and York. The study says medication errors may be responsible for about 1,700 deaths every year. The study also says that such mistakes may contribute to 22,000 deaths every year. And that costs the NHS an estimated 1.6 billion pounds. According to the study, mistakes include failures to monitor patients on strong drugs, weak interactions between physicians, and giving patients wrong medications.

Israel support of Daesh

Israel used to support anti-government armed groups in Syria tacitly. But it seems there has been a policy shift in this regard as the Israeli regime is now openly announcing its support for militants fighting to topple the Syrian government. Israeli media says Israel is altering its policy to prepare for what’s to come, as Iran’s presence in Syria has grown and the Syrian government has gained the upper hand in the war and it is gradually strengthening its presence in southern Syria, including in the Golan Heights. Tel aviv is ramping up its rhetoric against Syria at a time when the US involvement in the Arab country has become irrelevant. The US reason for being in Syria was Daesh, which has been totally defeated.
