American authorities are pushing forward their plan of having a foothold in Syria through dividing the Arab country into pieces, says an analyst.

The Americans and their allies have taken “the decision to start working on the division of Syria as for the eastern and western Euphrates areas,” Mohammad Obaid told Press TV on Thursday.

The United States is attempting to have a “foothold” after its failure to revive terrorists to topple the government in Damascus; therefore, they now try to “hinder a political solution” in Syria, the commentator noted.
