Thailand, US hold joint military drills

Thailand and the United States have held an amphibious vehicle landing exercise, as part of the annual multi-nation military drill codenamed "Cobra Gold."

More than 2000 soldiers from the US Marines and the Thai army participated in Saturday's exercise, along with 300 soldiers from South Korea. The Cobra Gold exercise is centered around Sattahip Royal Thai Marine Corps Base in Chonburi.
