US stepping up campaign against resistance movements in Mideast: Commentator

A political commentator believes the United States is in a position of animosity against all resistance movements in the Middle East, adding that it is in full support of Israel.

“The United States now supporting the Israelis is trying to mount its campaign against the resistance movements. We have things similar happening against Hamas [the Palestinian resistance movement], against other movements and now they are talking about Hezbollah [Lebanese Resistance Movement],” Ibrahim Mousawi told Press TV in an interview on Saturday.

The comments came after the administration of US President Donald Trump imposed a new round of sanctions on Hezbollah, targeting local and global businesses that cooperate with the group’s financial arm.
