More signs show Israel hatred rising in India

After Bollywood’s three Khans refused to meet Israeli Prime Minster, many citizens began to praise them as “real heroes.” The move came last week in protest at the ongoing persecution of the Palestinian people by the Israeli regime when Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan refused to take part in “Shalom Bollywood.” Sponsored by Tel Aviv, the gala was held in Mumbai where Indian’s prominent actors were invited to meet Benjamin Netanyahu. No doubt, Israel is keen on having Bollywood help in its use of arts and culture to whitewash its settler-colonialist plans in the occupied territories. But it faces serious doubts whether this could be a successful campaign specifically given the rising anti-Israeli sentiments in India.

EU indicates no interest in Trump’s war on JCPOA

US President Donald Trump jumps at every opportunity to try to undermine the Iran nuclear deal. The US president has sought to scare off businesses from dealing with Iran. Trump has used international podiums to talk against the nuclear agreement between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany. His fierce opposition to the nuclear deal also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has been generally attributed to his close ties with Iran’s foes like Israel and Saudi Arabia. The two have powerful lobbies in America and are believed to be spending heavily to derail the agreement. But Trump has so far failed to get the EU, Russia and China on board.
