US Vice President Mike Pence behaves like a “Christian Zionist” who extremely pursues Israeli strategies, especially when it comes to Iran, says a commentator.

“This pressure and focus on Iran is coming in certain and significant measure from the Israeli voices in this administration,” John Steppling told Press TV on Wednesday. He was referring to the administration of US President Donald Trump.

Washington's policies in the Middle East can partly be under the Israeli influence, the author and commentator said.

Mike Pence has underlined Washington’s resolve to change Iran’s nuclear deal, warning that the US will withdraw from the agreement if it is not altered.
