Clashes occurred between police and left-wing protesters in Thessaloniki on Monday, after a demonstration in defense of free social spaces.

It comes after the antifa-occupied 'Libertatia' building was reportedly set on fire by right-wing nationalists during a rally for Macedonia a day earlier.

According to reports, protesters tried to break a police barrier, threw objects at officers and damaged a parked car. Security forces used stun grenades against the protesters. Around 500 people reportedly attended the rally.
