US not trusted as world leader

A dramatic fall in the world's confidence in US leadership: This is the result of a new Gallup poll. According to the poll, the approval for the US role in the world leadership has plummeted to 30 percent after one year of Donald Trump presidency. That figure was 48 percent under former president Barack Obama. The survey was conducted in 134 countries. This is the lowest approval of US leadership since Gallup started its global leadership poll over a decade ago. Other figures in the poll are also interesting. Confidence in the global leadership of Germany stands at 41 percent. And China stands in the second place with 31 percent.

Israel's crimes in occupied Palestine

Israel is pressing ahead with its campaign to clamp down on Palestinians under the pretext of "maintaining security" in the occupied Palestinian territories. Israeli media says the army is considering taking control of Palestinian areas in East Jerusalem al-Quds, where Tel Aviv claims there has been a rise in the number of attacks against Israel’s soldiers. The areas include impoverished neighborhoods of Shoafat and Kafr Aqab. the surge in the crackdown undermines efforts to promote talks between Israel and the Palestinian authority. The repressive measures by Israel have led to speculations that Israel is doing this deliberately to achieve its strategic goals.
