Turkey airstrikes on northern Syria claim civilian lives

At least ten people have been killed in Turkish air raids on the Afrin region in northern Syria. According to the Kurdish YPG, seven civilians were among those killed. Dozens others also wounded in the aerial bombardment.

Turkey’s operations against Kurdish militia on the other side of the border with Syria come despite international warnings and strong opposition from Damascus.
