Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan has called on NATO members to take a stance against the plan, saying the military alliance needs to prevent the move. Some inside Turkey are speculating that Washington’s decision could make Ankara and Damascus join hands and stand against the shared external threat. Rahshan Saglam reports from Istanbul.
