US trying to manipulate countries through UN: Commentator

A political commentator believes the United States has a long history of abusing the United Nations, adding that the administration of President Donald Trump is seeking to turn the organization into “a den of blackmail” in order to "reshape" the foreign policy of countries around the world.

“We saw the bullying and blackmail and intimidation employed to attempt to change the minds of nations that would have otherwise stood up for al-Quds as the eternal capital of Palestine. We see it with the frequent denunciations of a fellow UN member, the DPRK (the Democratic People's Republic of Korea), in the form of Donald Trump threatening to destroy the nation from a place that is supposed to be about creating an atmosphere of peace and cooperation and co-existence and now we see it by the use and abuse of the Security Council to discuss the internal political situation in Iran,” Adam Garrie told PressTV in an interview on Monday.
