French sailor Francois Gabart arrived at the port of Brest on Sunday, apparently smashing the previous record for the solo non-stop circumnavigation of the globe.

The 34-year-old Gabart is claiming a new record of 42 days, 16 hours, 40 minutes and 35 seconds, which would knock over six days and 10 hours off the world record.
