Iranian beach soccer club Pars Jonoobi has finished in the second place overall at the Mundialito de Clubes 2017 in Brazil, after it went down in a narrow defeat to Russia's Lokomotiv Moscow in the decider.

The Iranian side slumped to a 4-5 loss at Vargem Grande Paulista in the southeastern Brazilian city of São Paulo on Sunday, and claimed the second place.

Pars Jonoobi started its campaign at the Mundialito de Clubes 2017 with a 6-7 loss to Spanish futsal club Levante Unión Deportiva, before powering to an 8-4 win over Club Atlético Rosario Central of Argentina in the second fixture.

On Saturday, the Persians notched up a solid 6-4 victory over Brazilian side Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, commonly referred to as Flamengo, and found a way in the title game.

The Mundialito de Clubes 2017 kicked off on December 14, and concluded on December 17, 2017.
