Real Madrid have claimed a third FIFA Club World Cup title after beating Brazil’s Gremio 1-0 in the Emirati capital of Abu Dhabi.

Los Blancos dominated from the start on Saturday but found it difficult against a well-organized opposition and settled for a stalemate in the first half.

However, the 2017 Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo fired a dipping free-kick between Gremio’s defensive wall in the 53rd minute which left the keeper with no hope of reaching the ball.

The win saw Real defend their last season title while collecting a 5th trophy in 2017 after grabbing the UEFA Champions League, Spain’s La Liga, the European Super Cup and the Spanish Super Cup.
