Chilean village buried under mud after deadly landslide

Aerial footage captured images of the Chilean village of Villa Santa Lucia buried beneath a thick layer of mud on Saturday, following a deadly landslide which killed at least five people.

Villa Santa Lucia, in southern Chile, was torn by a landslide which made its way down a flooded river valley after the region was hit by torrential rain.

Local authorities stated that four Chileans and a male tourist whose name and nationality have not been revealed were killed in the natural disaster. A further 15 people have been reported as missing.
