Iranian archers get 2 medals in 2017 Asian Archery Championships

Iranian archers have displayed fine performances at the 2017 Asian Archery Championships and Continental Qualifying Tournament for Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympics, and managed to collect two medals at the event.

On Thursday, Iranian female junior archer Sogand Rahmani competed in the final match of the cadet women’s individual compound section, and received the silver medal with a total score of 667 points.

North Korea’s Kang Jin Hwa scored 674 points to snatch gold.

Mst Radia Akther Shapla of the host nation took the bronze with the total score of 650 points.

Iran women’s compound team of Parisa Baratchi, Parisa Baibordi and Fereshteh Ghorbani earned a bronze, when they faced opponents from Bangladesh and emerged victorious 229-217.
