Iran’s Naft-o-Gaz Gachsaran comes 7th in 2017 Asian Men's Club League Handball Championship
Iran's Naft-o-Gaz Gachsaran handball team has ended the 2017 Asian Men's Club League Handball Championship in seventh place after rallying past Uzbekistan’s RKOR Club.
On Thursday afternoon, the Iranian squad defeated the Uzbek side 34-30 in a 7th-8th place match staged at the Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad.
Naft-o-Gaz Gachsaran handball team had lost to al-Shurta Club of Iraq 20-31 in a classification match three days earlier.
The Iranian handball club had also been beaten by Qatar’s al-Duhail, Sharjah Club of the United Arab Emirates and Omani Muscat Club at the preliminary round of the tournament.
The 2017 Asian Club League Handball Championship kicked off on November 20, and concluded on November 30.
