Papua New Guinea (PNG) police left the refugee center on Manus Island in a state of disarray on Thursday after ordering its inhabitants to leave the center.
PNG police entered a former Australian-run detention camp in Manus Island, ordering hundreds of asylum seekers who were living there to leave.
The people in the camp protested against the police while authorities destroyed their shelters and possessions. According to people in the center, the PNG police gave them only one hour to leave the facility.
