EPL: Brighton 2-2 Stoke City

Brighton's Spanish midfielder Jose Izquierdo (C) is mobbed by celebrating teammates after he scored a second equalising goal for 2-2 during the English Premier League football match between Brighton and Hove Albion and Stoke City at the American Express Community Stadium in Brighton, southern England on November 20, 2017. Brighton & Hove Albion have twice come back from behind to share the points with Stoke City, after battling to a 2-2 draw at home.

It was the away side who drew the first blood in the 28th minute when Maxim Choupo-Moting received an inch-perfect long-ball, before firing Home with an exquisite finish.

Just before half-time Brighton’s Pascal Gross smashed-in an effort to level the score at 1-1. There was to be another twist before the break. Stoke regained the lead in stoppage time, when Zouma’s header had the Brighton net rippling once more.

But the hosts fought back through Izquierdo once again on the hour mark, making it 2-2 and extending their unbeaten run to five Premier League matches.

Brighton now stands at 9th place with 16 points, while Stoke City is only four points away from the relegation zone, at 15th.
