Shocking truths about the war on Syria

With anti-Syria terrorists being on the brink of collapse, many have begun raising questions about the root causes of the country’s deadly conflict which was at first a political turmoil. Over the past couple of years, reports about collaboration between terrorists and some western and regional Arab states have surfaced time and again.  But recent shocking revelations by the former Qatari prime minister have further shed light on the role of known backers of terrorists in the escalation of tensions.  During an interview, Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber AaL-E-Thani said his country, alongside Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the US, began shipping weapons to militants from the onset of Syria’s conflict in 2011. The former Qatari official also revealed that over 137 billion dollars were spent on Syria’s war. He noted that Syrian army officers who joined the ranks of terrorists were offered up to 30-thousand dollars in reward. The cash bonus, as Hamad bin Jassim said, was the motive behind almost all defections from Syria’s military.

US threatens Palestinian Authority

The United States has threatened to close the diplomatic office of the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Washington. The reason – his threat in September to sue Israeli leaders in international courts for crimes against the Palestinians. America’s threat to close the Palestinian office in Washington was issued by US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. He has used a rare provision that allows actions against the Palestinians if they seek the prosecution of Israelis in international courts. The Palestinians have not remained silent. They say they will suspend all communication with the administration of US President Donald Trump if their diplomatic office in Washington is closed. This could plunge the fate of the so-called peace negotiations between the Israelis and the Palestinians – which have already stalled as a result of stonewalling by the Israelis - further into uncertainty.
