Italian Serie A: Sampdoria 3-2 Juventus

Defending Serie A champions Juventus have slumped to a 3-2 away loss at Sampdoria, ahead of their Wednesday Champions League clash against Barcelona.

On Sunday, the hosts broke the deadlock six minutes into the second half through Duvan Zapata, before Lucas Torreira and Karol Linetty got their names on the score-sheet to give their side a comfortable cushion.

The Bianconeri staged a stoppage-time fight-back as Gonzalo Higuain converted from the spot, before Paulo Dybala came off the bench to Reduce the deficit to one, but it wasn’t enough to rescue the Old Lady.

With the loss, Juventus who were without the services of defender Andrea Barzagli and goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon drop to third in the standings, four points behind leaders Napoli.
