The death toll from the flash floods, which hit the western Athens suburb of Mandra on Wednesday, has risen to 19, as firefighters recovered the bodies of another three victims on Saturday, Greek national news agency, AMNA, reported.

Three people were still missing, according to local authorities.

The flash floods, which came after an overnight storm, turned roads into raging rivers of mud that carried away cars, smashed walls and flooded homes and businesses.
