Iranian professional soccer club Tractor Sazi Tabriz, also known as Tractor, has trounced Saipa Football Club in the final showdown of the 2017 Shohada (Martyrs) Cup, and was crowned the champion of the four-a-side national tournament.

Tractor Sazi thrashed the Karaj-based football club 3-0 in a match staged at the multi-purpose Takhti Stadium in eastern Tehran on Tuesday afternoon.

Tractor’s forward Farzad Jalal Hatemi nailed the opener in the 27th minute. He doubled his team’s lead in the 74th minute.

Midfielder Omid Alishah scored the third goal of the game in the 85th minute with a header.

“We took advantage of two matches in the competition. It was a good opportunity for us to prepare our players for the (Persian Gulf) League,” Tractor Sazi coach Yahya Golmohammadi said in the post-match news conference.
