Iran finishes 3rd at 2017 IWWF Asia & Oceania Cable Wakeboard & Wakeskate Championships

Iranian male and female cable wakeboard skiers have put commendable end to their campaigns at the 2017 International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) Asia & Oceania Cable Wakeboard & Wakeskate Championships, and ranked third overall at the end of the high-status continental event.

On Saturday, the Islamic Republic of Iranian, having won one gold medal, one silver and two bronze medals, landed in the third spot of the medal table, and stood behind Japan, which finished second.

The hosts stood on the top podium, and claimed the championship.

The 2017 IWWF Asia & Oceania Cable Wakeboard & Wakeskate Championships started in Chinese Taipei on November 8, and finished on November 12, 2017.

The event brought together dozens of male and female cable wakeboard skiers and wakeskaters from various Asian countries, including Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Japan, South Korea and Thailand.
