UK minister forced to resign over meetings with Israeli officials

Britain’s International Development Secretary Priti Patel has been sacked after more damaging evidence emerged that she misled her party and the public regarding a trip to Israel where she held around 12 ‘unofficial ‘ meetings with high level Israeli delegations including Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu. Ms Patel’s position in government had become increasingly untenable after new details surfaced that cast doubt on her earlier statements which indicated the Foreign Office knew of her plans.
