NHL: Edmonton Oilers 0-4 Detroit Red Wings

The visiting Detroit Red Wings have defeated the Edmonton Oilers 4-nil in National Hockey League.

Detroit opened the scoring 3 minute into the game. They added another one midway through the 1st period, when Gustav Nayquist netted the puck.

The visitors extended their lead in the middle frame when Martin Ferk scored off a turn-over. And finally, Anthony Mantha scored a power play in the 3rd, to secure the big victory over the Oilers.

Meanwhile, the Montreal Canadians have topped the Chicago Blackhawks 2-nil at United Center. It ended scoreless both in the 1st and 2nd periods. However, Jonathan Drouin netted the puck with just 2 minutes in the 3rd. Defenceman Joe Morrow scored 5 minutes later to secure the Canadiens’ 2-nothing victory.
