Over 120,000 protesters took to the streets of Buenos Aires, Wednesday, to demand justice for deceased activist Santiago Maldonado.

The protesters held photos of Maldonado and many played drums as they marched through the city, concluding at the Plaza de Mayo.

Brother of the deceased activist, Sergio Moldonado, made a speech at the event, calling for the truth of what happened to his brother.

“Santiago was a peace kid, and in his memory we once again demand to know what happened to him and who is responsible for his death and the obstruction, cover up and diversion of the investigation into his disappearance and death,” he said.

Santiago Maldonado went missing on August 1 after being arrested during a demonstration supported Argentina's Indigenous Mapuche community. After missing for 30 days, his body was found in Chibut River in southern Argentina on October 18.
