Iran men’s national beach soccer team has started its campaign at the Huawei Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup Dubai 2017 in the United Arab Emirates with a handsome win over Paraguay.

On Tuesday, Team Melli Saheli outclassed Albirroja 5-2 in its opening Group B fixture at Business Bay in Dubai.

Iranian forward and Captain Mohammad Ahmadzadeh put the Persians 1-0 ahead in the 11th minute, before two quick strikes from Paraguayan midfielder Luis Alberto Ojeda and defender Carlos Alfredo Carballo Ruiz made it 2-1.

Amir Hossain Akbari squared the equalizer in the 22nd minute and put both teams on level terms.

Two minutes later, Iran reclaimed the lead when Seyyed Ali Nazem buried the ball in the back of the net.

Moslem Mesigar got his name on the score sheet in the 33rd minute, and Ahmadzadeh scored a brace and Iran’s fifth goal of the match seconds later.

Iran men’s national beach soccer team will play Mexico in its second preliminary round game on Wednesday.
