Sanctions on Hezbollah show US ignorance: Academic

An academic says the US congressmen who have a financial commitment to the Zionists have imposed sanctions on Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance group, rejecting the move as an act of “ignorance.”

Since the American congressmen do not know much about US foreign policy in the Middle East and the history of Hezbollah, “they really have no principle basis for not doing what the Zionists want them to do,” Lawrence Davidson told Press TV on Thursday.

"Iran and Hezbollah are being resisted by Zionist[s] … who have a real effective influence over American politics" and push US politicians to adopt harsh measures against the resistance movement, the professor at the West Chester University said.

On Wednesday, the US House of Representatives endorsed new sanctions Hezbollah.
