Tottenham have moved to the top of Group H of the UEFA Champions League after finishing 1-all with La Liga Champions Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabu.

Spurs shocked the home crowd on Tuesday after taking the lead only 28 minutes into the match when Raphael Varane turned a cross into his own net, making it 1-nil.

But, Portuguese sensation Cristiano Ronaldo came to Madrid’s rescue, 2 minutes before halftime, as he equalized by converting a penalty, which Madrid won after a foul by Aurier.

Manchester City also have registered a 2-1 victory over Italian Serie A leaders Napoli in an enthralling encounter at the Eithad Stadium.

Raheem Sterling opened the scoring for the hosts after only 9 minutes by blasting the ball past the keeper.

A stunning cross from Kevin De Bruyne then allowed Gabriel Jesus to double the Sky Blues advantage as he easily tapped the ball into the net to put his side in a comfortable position.
