FIDE appoints Iranian International Arbiter to its Technical Commission

The Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) has elected Iranian International Arbiter and the current General Secretary of the Chess Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Shohreh Bayat, to its Technical Commission.

FIDE, which is an international organization that connects the various national chess federations around the world and acts as the governing body of international chess competition, picked the 30-year-old Iranian sportswoman to the commission during its 88th Congress in Turkey’s southwestern resort city of Antalya.

Earlier, Vice President of the Chess Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Shadi Paridar, had been voted to the FIDE Commission for Women's Chess.

Iranian International Organizer Mehrdad Pahlevanzadeh currently serves as a member of FIDE Rules Commission and Technical Commission.

Mohammad Jafar Kambouzia is a member of FIDE Presidential Board above all.
