The US will put itself on a collision course with Europe and Iran if it goes ahead with its pledge not to certify an international nuclear accord with the Islamic Republic, says a commentator.

“If President Donald Trump decides to 'decertify' this deal ... it will isolate the United States,” Jan Oberg told Press TV on Thursday.

The US is trying to destroy the international nuclear agreement between Iran and the six world powers, whereas “eight reports from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna are saying that Iran is totally in compliance with the deal,” the founder of transnational.org said.

On Wednesday, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said Washington’s possible withdrawal from the Iran deal will send a message to the international community that the US is not trustworthy when it comes to deal making.
