Barcelona have struggled past Portugal’s Sporting Lisbon 1-nil in Group D match of the UEFA Champions league.

After a frustrating goalless first half, the La Liga leaders finally broke the deadlock in the 49th minute when Argentinian ace Lionel Messi swung in a free kick which somehow bounced off Luis Suarez and the hosts’ Sebastian Coates to calmly go into net.

That single own goal was enough to hand the visitors the much needed 3 points on Wednesday as Barca made it 2 wins out of 2 Champions League group stage matches.

Meanwhile, hosts Paris Saint Germain have humiliated German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich 3-0 in their UEFA Champions League Group B match.

The French side couldn’t have asked for a better start on Wednesday as they took the lead after just 2 minutes through Dani Alves. The Brazilian international received a great pass from his fellow countryman Neymar and fired the ball into the back of net to make it 1-0 for his side.

Edinson Cavani then shocked the German champions by doubling PSG’s lead in the 31st minute with an unstoppable strike. And their 263-million-dollar signing Neymar added the third after break to put the icing on the cake and wrap up a great performance by the home side who grabbed all 3 points in style.
