The Turkish parliament has agreed to expand army’s mandate in its cross border operations. The motion that was first passed in 2016, aims at fulfilling Ankara’s wishes in Iraq and Syria as well as countering what it sees at threats of Kurdish groups. Turkey is also doing its utmost to prevent a referendum on session due to be held on September 25 in Iraq’s semi-autonomous Kurdistan region. Press TV’s Rahshan Saglam give more details on the developments from Istanbul.
