An analyst believes the G-77’s support for the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and the P5+1 group of countries serves as a “moral, political and symbolic victory” for the Islamic Republic.

“The world knows that Iran is complying with this agreement … It is only America who is saying otherwise and policymakers in Washington, they know deep down that Iran is complying with this agreement but of course policymakers in America have an ulterior motive … claiming that the Iranians are not complying because of course the ultimate objective of Washington ever since the Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979 is the overthrow of the Iranian government,” Marcus Papadopoulos, publisher and editor of Politics First told PressTV in an interview on Saturday.

One hundred and thirty four countries, under the banner of the Group of 77 at the United Nations, have voiced support for the nuclear agreement following a tirade by US President Donald Trump against Iran and the deal at the UN.

The analyst also expressed “profound shock and disgust” at Trump’s speech at the United Nations, arguing that his “sickening tirade” against both Iran and North Korea “serves as another reminder of his contempt for international law”.

Papadopoulos further predicted that the United States will not pull out of the nuclear agreement, reasoning that the Americans understand that they would be up against world opinion on the matter.
