Liverpool have crashed out the English EFL Cup after losing 2-0 against hosts Leicester City.

The first half finished goalless, but Japan striker Shinji Okazaki opened the scoring in the 65th minute after his shot took a deflection off Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson and found the net.

The Foxes took the lead in the 78th minute when Algerian striker Islam Slimani fired a left-footed shot into the top corner.

With the victory, Leicester are now through to the 4th round of the League Cup.
