The Western powers are totally separating human values and ethics from trade and business when it comes to selling arms and ammunition to Saudi Arabia, which is behind the spread of death and destruction in Yemen, says a writer.

“The Western world still believes that happiness in [other] countries can only be achieved if they sell more arms to dictatorial regimes because that would provide them with the job opportunities,” Saeed Shehabi told Press TV on Tuesday.

“People are paying the price” for spreading of arms, because they are the ones who are affected by their leaders’ negligence and misguidance, the writer and political analyst said.

British weapons manufacturers have earned more than £6 billion from their deals with Saudi Arabia ever since the beginning of the kingdom’s ruthless war on its southern neighbor Yemen, a campaign group known as War Child UK said on Tuesday.
