F1: Hamilton wins dramatic Singapore GP

Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton has won the rain-hit Singaporean F1 Grand Prix at Marina Bay circuit to go 28 points clear at the top of the standings.

Ferrari's duo of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen as well as Red Bull's Max Verstappen all smashed into each other and went out just after the start of the Sunday race which saw 3 safety cars and finished with only 12 drivers.

The initial incident allowed Hamilton to take the lead which he managed to keep for good. Australian Daniel Ricciardo finished second for Red Bull and another Mercedes man Valtteri Botas came in third.

The victory was the 60th in Hamilton's career, his 3rd in Singapore and 7th in 14 races this season which gives him a huge boost towards a 4th world title with 6 rounds remaining.
