Major political parties in Pakistan have joined hands to press their demand for the abolition of a set of British-era laws in the country’s border region with Afghanistan. Under these laws, called the Frontier Crimes Regulations, tribes and communities have been collectively punished for crimes committed by suspected militants over the years.
