The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) voted unanimously in favor of imposing new sanctions on North Korea at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, Monday, in reaction to the country's recent round of nuclear tests.

In addition to sanctions on several of North Korea's exports including coal, iron, iron ore, lead, lead ore and seafood, new sanctions have been imposed on textiles, the country's second biggest export.

Global tensions with North Korea have escalated over recent missile tests as well as the detonation of a miniaturized H-bomb last week.
